SPLENDORA, Texas — (DMN) – Police in Montgomery County, Texas, found large amounts of cocaine and heroin stashed on a Chicago bound tour bus. An El Expresso bus was headed from Houston to Chicago when it stopped on Highway 59 North in Splendora for some type of equipment malfunction around 10 p.m. Sunday. When police arrived to the scene to provide assistance, they noticed the bus driver was acting a bit “panicky” and decided to investigate.

K-9 units were called in to search and found 7-9 kilograms of cocaine stashed behind the driver’s seat. Some black tar heroin and another unknown substance were also hidden on the bus, according to authorities. Both the bus driver and another man were arrested at the scene.
Nearly two dozen bus passengers were finally loaded onto another bus around 4 a.m. Monday and allowed to continue their trip.
